Meet our Staff
Guy Smith
Lead PastorGuy began serving as our Lead Pastor on Februrary 5, 2023. Guy has been in Christian ministry for over 20 years, most of it here in the Lowcountry. He is also retired from the US Navy Reserves where he was a Navy Intel Chief. He has a MAR in Christian leadership from Liberty Theological Seminary. He has been married to Lynda for over 34 years and they have two adult children and two grandchildren. Guy’s passions is teaching God’s Word and discipling others, both individually and in a group setting.
Robbie Fleschner
Youth and Family DirectorRobbie started serving as our Youth and Family Director at FBCJ on November 29, 2023. Robbie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at 7 years old. Robbie is originally from Bloomington, Indiana but his family moved to Florence, South Carolina in 2012. Robbie attended Charleston Southern University from 2019-2023 where he graduated with a BA in Christian Studies. Robbie’s heart is for the Lord, and he wants to see everyone come to salvation in Jesus and to have a relationship with Him.
Amber Foster
Music MinisterAmber started serving as our Music Minister at FBCJ in April 2018. She is a native of the Charleston area. She and her husband Eric have been married since 2011 and have two beautiful daughters. She is a graduate of Charleston Southern University where she studied psychology and music, with her musical focus in trombone.
Rick Kennedy
CustodianRick was saved at age 17. He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged. Rick moved to SC in 1988 and joined FBCJ. He has been married to his wife Susanne since 1991 and they have a daughter Victoria. Rick works behind the scenes as our head of Security and even in the kitchen.
